The Official Blog is Moved!

Hello Everyone!

After much consideration, I have decided to move the official Blog page of Museflower Retreat & Spa onto our newly relaunched website to combine into one site, instead of having an official blog page separate from our main site. It seems to make more sense when all the information is gathered in one site instead of two different sites.

That means from now on, all new blog articles will be updated at: http://musefloweretreat.com/the-blog/

In the future, our blog will focus more on sharing health, spa, wellness, and holistic therapies information with our readers.

Do you want to live a healthy, happy and balanced life?

Do you want to know what is the real meaning of being healthy in the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual (energetic) level?

Do you want to learn about various holistic therapies out there that can transform your life?

Do you want to be inspired by retreat teachers and practitioner’s stories and their wisdom?

If you answer YES to any one of the above questions,

do follow our blog at the new address here so you will receive our latest blog update.

Remember to subscribe to Museflower Retreat & Spa’s Newsletter here as well for upcoming retreat programs and exclusive offers, and receive a 500THB credit voucher instantly to use towards your next spa/retreat booking!

Thank you again for your support and I hope that we can continue to share more useful information and tips that benefit your HEALTH.

With Love & Gratitude,

PS: At the moment, I’m not sure what will happen to The Museflower Project blog site (museflower.wordpress.com), but it seems like there is an idea in my head and perhaps this blog site will be used for a different purpose later on. I’ll definitely keep everyone updated when the idea is more concretely formed in my head. 🙂

Interview: Life of a Naturopath and Life Coach – David Arenson and Blog Update

Magic happens when we trust our inner knowing, and have the courage to follow the gift of surrendering to the mystery.

WHO IS david arenson?

A qualified Naturopath, Nutritionist, and Life Coach, David’s extensive holistic healing expertise includes working at some of the world’s top luxury destination spas as a “Visiting Master”, including Chiva-Som and Six Senses brands. He has an intuitive gift, which helps guide those seeking clarity and results, and has a background in theology, meditation, and spiritual counseling. David’s specializes in supporting people realize their true potential, managing stress, overcoming difficulties, and dealing with change.

A PEEK INTO DAVID’S LIFE

#1 – Where are you originally from? Please describe in few sentences of your background, including where and how you grew up.

I was born and grew up in Cape Town, at the foot of Africa. It was an era of dramatic change and epic transformation with Nelson Mandela’s release from prison after 27 years, and the liberation from apartheid. My earliest memories are of pain, growing up with a tumour that was only diagnosed at age 10. By then my leg was broken and fortunately I had a great surgeon who removed the tumour. I recovered quickly and had one further tumour removed 4 years later. It was early on that suffering, healing and personal transformation were firmly rooted in my psyche as significant in my life.

#2 – How do you get to do what you are doing now?

Growing up in Africa with a lot of pain helped me to understand suffering from the earliest age.

My first study was Architecture and graphic design, and my love of aesthetics and beautification of the world began. I think I also learnt early on that when you change how you look at life, life changes.

After working in the media, IT and Advertising industry, I made a dramatic decision to search for God. I spent some years studying theology and the ancient biblical texts in Aramaic and Hebrew with 3 years spent in Jerusalem. My family moved to Australia, and I spent some years studying naturopathic medicine there. In the last few years, my passion has been more for Eastern philosophy and healing.

I was always interested in the journey of the soul, and how to alleviate human suffering. Meditation practice became my source of wisdom and knowledge instead of seeking answers outside of myself. Divinity became something within, without needing guidelines or religious rules to follow.

#3 – When is a recent ‘a-ha’ moment, or a wake up call for you that you would like to share?

I realised that I was trying to create my destiny and in being achievement-oriented, I was losing the magic innate in letting go and letting God. I am finding the balance between conscious creation and allowing or surrendering completely to God. The alchemy happens at that fulcrum between choice and trust, conscious volition and letting go. My path is about allowing a balance between masculine and feminine forces, much like following the Tao teaches. I am consciously allowing more mystery and releasing expectation from my life (easier said than done, of course!). It is a journey of self-discovery and awakening

#4 – What is your motto, or if the essence of your retreat/workshop is boiled down into one sentence – what would it be and why?

Expect Magic!

Always when we make a commitment to shift our perspective on life, it is that decision that defines the result. Decisions like that define our destiny. Magic happens when we trust our inner knowing, and have the courage to follow the gift of surrendering to the mystery. My retreats are always about inspiring and awakening souls via gentle leadership and support.

#5 – Who is your Museflower – something from nature that inspires you the most along your spiritual journey & why?

The stars. I have a significant relationship to the stars and stargazing. For me it is about connection, or reconnecting, coming back to my true home. We are all children of the stars, created from stardust. I remember even as a child lying on my back on the grass looking up at the heavens and pondering our position in the cosmos. Now it allows me to envision, connect and puts my life into perspective.

#6 – Why should people join a retreat with you?

I am passionate about retreats.

My work is in connecting people with their souls, helping people realise their true connection and potential. The tools we will be exploring together include ancient Qi Gong practices, Mindfulness, Meditation as well as supporting our body in transformation through a detox cleansing diet. It is through cleansing the body, that we invite cleansing of the mind, and open up a space, or a portal for change to naturally occur.

A retreat is a space of potentiality, of possibility, of awakening, and of change. A lot of suffering happens because of what we think our lives should be like. Retreats always create more perspective, open up and reveal hidden truths we have been escaping from. I also invite in gratitude. Fear cannot happen in the context of gratitude.

I welcome all souls seeking to learn and know more about the self, seekers of wisdom, transformation and healing.

SIDE NOTE: THE MUSEFLOWER PROJECT BLOG UPDATE

I apologize for being silent on the blog for the past month!

I was reconsidering and evaluating the direction of where the blog is heading, how it should create and add more meaning to all of you dear readers and to myself. The past two months I have been learning and receiving many new healing modalities and I needed a break and a chance to integrate everything.

Again, the daunting question: “Is this what I’m doing adding meaning to my life?”

Having read Arianna Huffington’s wonderful book called Thrive: The Third Metric to Redefining Success and Creating a Life of Well-Being, Wisdom, and Wonder, I want to re-evaluate my priorities in life and really focus on what I love to do. As a business owner, I basically have to do everything myself which is fun in some way but also challenging at times, especially the mundane details and tasks to run and maintain a business that is still new – some days I really want to give up!

One thing I’ve learned throughout these 3 years of starting and running a business is that I really cannot do everything myself. To focus on what I love to do, I must say “no” to things that are draining my energy. I am still in the process of delegating and hopefully my goal is that everything here can be running smoothly without me to be here physically.

It’s still quite a long way to go. The Museflower Project Blog will also be part of this integration / change process. Some parts of the blog will probably change to reflect on my ongoing self-discovery and healing journey. I still don’t know exactly what the outcome will be just yet. Hopefully I will have a more clear sense of direction soon. I do enjoy writing in this blog though so giving it up won’t be an option.

So thank you to those who have signed up to follow this blog. Please do kindly stay with me during this transition period and hopefully you will find the articles posted in my blog useful and fun to read.

Have a great week!

With Love &  Gratitude,

Museflower Philosophy-practice of simple bliss

Museflower Philosophy: the Practice of Simple Bliss

Today’s blog post is a bit different. I’d like to share with you what I have written as the base philosophy of Museflower Retreat & Spa. Before this place was reborn as Museflower, there was a different philosophy in place and it was written by someone else. So, when I made a choice to move forward to carry on this place, under a different brand name, it would only make sense for me to write a new one.

Though the philosophy of “Practice of Simple Bliss” has already been a reflection of this place before it was named Museflower, moving forward I also hope that Museflower can continue to be a reflection of ‘Simple Bliss’. It is easy to fall into the arms of comfort, but is that what our bodies and minds really need?

Since growing up I’ve always been a city girl. To be honest I never would have imagined myself leaving the city, not to mention living and working in the countryside full time.

Funny enough with life isn’t it though? After high school I went to study in an university where it was in middle of nowhere. After college I went to work on an island, and then an even more remote island where there wasn’t even one 7-11 (a typical convenience store that you can find anywhere in Thailand). With one thing leading to another, now that I’m in Chiang Rai, this is like a perfect blend for me between city and countryside.

I have always loved the city, I still do. I enjoy the buzz, the glamor, the excitement of it all.

But with all these years living nearby nature, I’ve also come to appreciate the sounds of the sea, the birds, the fresh clean air, and the green and the blue. I find that I enjoy being in the nature more than the city at the end (well, let’s say 80% of the time).

It’s really a balance, isn’t it, between city life and countryside life.

Well, I hope you enjoy reading the below. Something shared from my heart. 🙂

The Practice of Simple Bliss

Museflower Philosophy-meaning of bliss

We are submersed in a world where marketers define that having more things and doing more things equal happiness. We constantly are trained to seek happiness externally. If we have a bigger car, a bigger house, or more houses, then, we’d be happier.

Traditional hotels are also the same. The hotel industry has set a standard for five star, four star, three star ratings for hotels based on amenities they provide. If you don’t have a swimming pool in your hotel, there is no way that you can be a four or five star hotel. Coming back to think about it, can’t a hotel still offer 5 star quality service and product without the pool?

We are used to staring at a computer screen during work, stare at our smartphones in between breaks and during commute, stare at the TV when we are back home, and stare at the smartphone again before falling to sleep. And then when wake up again, we stare at the smartphone again.

Often times we became so lost in this busy world that is so busily bombarding our senses, we forget that bliss is simple.

8.Museflower_Retreat&Spa_organic_Vegetable_farm_in_morning_mist

Listening to the birds chirp in the morning.

Breathing fresh air.

Feeling the rain.

Watching a sunset.

Tasting fresh vegetable picked from the garden.

Connecting with another human face to face. A smile is not an emoji but an actual smile.

At Museflower, we want to remind our guests how the simplest things can bring us the biggest joy.

When we are stripped away of all the entertainment – the TV, the internet, the smartphone, do we know how to spend our time?

When we are stripped away from air-conditioning, do our bodies still know how to regulate our body temperature?

When everything external is only a reflection of our inner world, then are we quiet enough to listen to what our inner self is saying to us?

Gallery-garden5-museflower_Retreat_spa_sunflower_closeup

At Museflower, you will not find a TV in your room, nor free wifi. There is no IPOD dock, nor radio. There is no telephone, nor a working desk.

Museflower is a space for our guests to retreat back to their inner being, nurture themselves, and be reconnected to nature.

Watching the stars in the sky gives you more HD than a HD TV.

Listening to the thunderstorm gives you better surround sound than home theatre.

Having to walk to talk to a person gives you more reason to exercise.

And all the time, feel your inner being – smiling, crying, inspired.

In Museflower, we want to remind how simple BLISS can be.

This is a place to Be the TRUE You.

母親:沒有你,我不是我。

GUEST BLOG BY OSIER

Interview: Life of an Energy Healer – Michele Cempaka

interview with michele cempaka life of an energy healer and giveaway

When we free ourselves of judgment and truly embrace our magnificence, anything is possible!

WHO IS MICHELE CEMPAKA

Michele is an Energy Healer, Consciousness Facilitator, spiritual teacher & retreat leader in the international arena. With a background in Hypnotherapy, Reiki and Transformational Coaching, she has spent many years teaching and leading retreats for personal empowerment and deepening one’s connection to Spirit and the collective consciousness.

Michele’s mission is to be a contribution to people’s lives, so that they can fully recognize and embrace how phenomenal they truly are

A PEEK INTO Michele’s LIFE

#1 – Where are you originally from? Please describe in few sentences of your background, including where and how you grew up.

I’m originally from the USA. I was born in Connecticut and grew up in a small town called Wallingford. Across the street from us, my friends had horses and we lived on 12 acres, so it was beautiful. When I was 8, we moved to Florida which was totally different. I longed to return to the country life where I grew up, but that wasn’t possible because my father got a new job.

#2 – How do you get to do what you are doing now?

From a young age, I had the ability to sense Spirits and even know what people were really thinking. I was very empathic and didn’t understand how or why I could perceive and know things that other people didn’t seem to be aware of.

As I grew older, my gifts became stronger and after my first son was born 15 years ago, I took my first Reiki class. Then a few years later I moved to Bali and learned Reiki 2 and did my Master level  in 2007.

Since that time my life has opened up so much. I have been strongly guided by Spirit to continue assisting as many people as possible to clear limiting beliefs, release traumas and embrace the greatness of who they truly be. It is a deep honor to do the work that I do.

#3 – When is a recent ‘a-ha’ moment, or a wake up call for you that you would like to share?

A recent ‘Aha’ moment occurred when I was talking to a dear friend and she said, “It’s time for you to realize that you have everything you need. You have all the tools and are ready to do your own thing. You don’t need to follow anyone else’s system. Just trust in yourself!”

#4 – What is your motto, or if the essence of your retreat/workshop is boiled down into one sentence – what would it be and why?

When we free ourselves of judgment and truly embrace our magnificence, anything is possible!

The reason I chose this sentence is because judgment of ourselves and others is the source of our suffering and self-destruction. It is also why there is no peace  on planet earth. If everyone would be willing to be in allowance of others and truly love and accept themselves, we would all be co-creating a conscious world for all.

#5 – Who is your Museflower – something from nature that inspires you the most along your spiritual journey & why?

My Museflower is the bonsai tree. My garden is filled with bonsais that my husband tenderly cares for. They have an amazing energy and whenever I have felt ill or tired, I just go out to the garden and touch one of the bonsais and instantly I feel this beautiful energy enter my body. They are very powerful ancient trees.

#6 – Why should people join a retreat with you?

To answer this question, I’d like to share some testimonials from people who have joined retreats with me. Here’s what they say:

Aine, Ireland

“I have been fortunate enough in this lifetime to be blessed with meeting Michele and working with her as part of her retreat programme.  Michele has an admirable way of reaching out and touching individual people.  Her capabilities and knowledge amazed me and she truly is a very inspirational woman. She genuinely cares and hand in hand with her skills and knowledge she really wants to make a big difference in this world. She made a great difference in my life and for that i will be forever grateful.”

Michelle, UK

“I have never come across practitioners with such effective tools that clear things so quickly, and not just small things, massive life changing things. Alison and Michelle are effective and very powerful on their own but when they come together for this retreat you have everything you need to make the changes you want in your life. Michelle and Alison’s compassion, empathy, strength and their complete belief in you gives you everything you need to heal things that have been with you a lifetime.”
